Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was positivity in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday, something the market has lacked lately. Traders were energized as clients were more open to offerings. Demand strengthened. The mills looked at firm offers to sell accumulations or things they wanted to move, adding to the excitement. They traded a little but avoided the bigger counters, feeling that some compromise would net them orders. In most cases it did. Lower prices enticed better customer participation, increasing the volume of orders. It was seen in a wide range of products and to the benefit of many salespeople.
