The eastern spruce lumber market continued its path of seeing solid demand resulting in a strong volume of orders yesterday. The mills were willing to take business at prices traded earlier in the week, wanting to solidify any order file they had. There were those that tried to raise prices, but many were not as successful as they had hoped. There were sounds of a rally cry heard among traders, which may develop as less production becomes evident, but time will tell. Demand needs to sustain itself if not increase for this impact to rear its head. Buckle up baby if less production makes it so.
