Although the volume of sales was off in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday, there was no shortage of hustle and bustle by traders trying to get things accomplished. Demand was still solid, but something held back buyers. Whether it was the mills struggling to sell the items they had to offer, aggressive traders venturing to get orders, or that dealers were seeing a slowdown of their business, hesitation set in.
