Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Activity and transactions tapered off slightly in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. There was good demand but not enough product available from the mills to keep the recent momentum going in the market. There were some mills that were content on selling at yesterday’s prices, which were higher than they were when the week started. Then there were others that wanted more, pushing buyers to peruse other sources, or just holding off buying for the moment. Those that stayed the course sold while the others did not. Eastern mill order files are into July.
