The eastern spruce lumber market saw increased demand and improved sales yesterday, surpassing the previous day’s tally. Distributors and their inventories were again the major recipients to the volume of orders transacted. The activity was slow to start though and not without some struggles. Some eastern mills began taking orders for early to mid-August while others focused their efforts on material that was on the ground ready to ship.
