Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was no let up to activity and sales in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Large dealers and manufactures were especially proactive. They gravitated to the deals presented, not primarily from the mills but from distributors with inventories at various reloads. Prices were opportunistic on them to move some volume. If the product could be used, offers were presented. Compromise was the rule of thumb to make the offers into orders. Dealers were less busy and not as fervent participants. Their business seemed to have slowed as of late but many echoed impending business on the horizon. This post will be on hiatus, returning 8/1/23
