Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Many concerns were scavenging around for deals and interested to buy in the lumber market yesterday. This sparked demand and greatly increased the volume of transactions, making it a very successful day for traders. A good part of the business was outside the east, as large builders and chain yards began buying heavily to cover needs. There was hesitation from dealers here, wanting to wait out the mills and the market, anticipating lower prices. The eastern mills did see better activity, accepting small counters to take business but avoiding the steep counters to do so.
