Yesterday’s sales pace in the eastern spruce lumber market was consistent with the other days of the week thus far. Demand was steady and orders flowed with the eastern mills and distributors each getting their fair share. Prices had a little give to them on the items the mills had ready to ship while they had a firmer resolve if they didn’t. Distributors on the other hand kept to their pricing on what they could deliver quickly but were open to what would work for further out deliveries. Both scenarios invited interest and compelled orders making it an overall decent day in the lumber market!
