Prices continued to slowly erode in the eastern spruce lumber market last week. There were no major drops as the mills found enough reasonable orders to avoid worrying about accumulations. They were not eager to succumb to large counters on any extra loads they may have had or were going to have. Many resolved to wait for the new week and see what demand would materialize. They were also confident that business would improve, seeing signs of good demand in a lot of areas. They also spent time strategizing on finding ways to be profitable given the current state of the market.
