With Thanksgiving celebrated across Canada and a holiday observed here in the states, orders were tougher to come by in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. There was noticeable demand leading to some orders, but the volume was far off the pace seen more recently. Several mills across Canada were closed, limiting the number of choices for buyers to go to and source what was looked for. Buying decisions were more apt to be deferred. It was hit and miss on quotes as traders threw out numbers hoping to get a look at whatever potential business that was out there.
