Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

More participants in the market led to much better activity and increased orders in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. The eastern mills traded on the items they had ready but stayed close to their asking prices and not relinquishing to the hefty counters presented by aggressive buyers. There were clients that could wait for the things they would need, thinking prices would go lower, and there were others needing product more quickly. There were also some that bought deals over a schedule delivery time. The important point being all were in the market either buying or looking to, giving a more positive tone to the market.
