Consistency would best describe the current activity seen in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. The steady flow of orders kept a good balance between supply and demand. Some needed quick delivery while others had time to ship. All required attention and coverage. Prices were stable but firm. Some hard to sell yet undervalued items such as 2x6 drew much attention while items that have been high in demand such as 2x4-16’s continued to be difficult to source. Getting orders was still a grind that needed a lot of work. Those willing to put in the effort benefitted.
