Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

With an ease of demand and fewer orders being transacted in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday, wholesalers turned more aggressive with their quotes. Distributors kept in stride wanting to keep inventory moving. The eastern mills had material they wanted to sell but they were not willing to dip to the suggested levels that would promote new business, although some adjusted their higher prices to where others were. The tone in the market seemed more bearish but some saw it as a sign of opportunity and a chance to buy something they missed or needed.
