Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Stronger demand yesterday in the eastern spruce lumber market energized traders, leading to better activity and increased orders over Monday. The mills were attentive to offers, not taking the lowest prices but finding common ground to trade and secure business. Clients were also inclined to buy especially if shipments could be delayed. They had enough product to care for the business at hand but liked the idea of being able to buy more for delivery later than sooner, especially at current or lower numbers. This was a good recipe to attracting orders, especially for the manufacturing and industrial sectors.
