Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was a let up of demand and activity in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. The eastern mills had little left they could ship prior to the end of the year with not much demand for product after the holidays. Retailers seeing a slow up of business did not have as much need to fill in from the reloads. There was business transacted but the pace seen recently was off. Prices were firm with less interest by the mills to take lower numbers and no urgency by clients to pay more. There was more of a wait and see attitude displayed in the market. This post will return Tuesday December 19th.
