Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Demand, activity, and orders all increased yesterday over Monday’s strong start to the week in the eastern spruce lumber market. The mills were able to sell without giving up on price, with some items even appreciating in value. Deliveries from the mills were limited before the end of the year with most having orders well into the second week of January. Dealers continue to see a steady flow of material through their yards. The market was busy on many fronts in many sectors. All lumber species had solid business transacted. Panel products were also active with availability an issue.
