Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

It was another solid day of activity and sales in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Substantial and consistent demand throughout the day led to a steady flow of orders to both the mills and distributors, with several transactions at higher prices than earlier in the week. Buyers tried their best to persuade the mills to taking lower numbers but to no avail. The mills were firm, but they were willing to take business on items even if they were not completely on the ground but would have soon enough. Given the opportunity to sell many continued to do so.
