There was a let up in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Demand and activity were still vibrant but the number of incoming orders for both the mills and distributors was considerably less. The was not as much urgency from clients to buy. Torrential rains and winter weather have also had their impacts to slowing down the flow of product in many parts of the country. There were some items that the mills looked and wanted to sell and there were other things that were tight in supply. The mills negotiated on price where they needed to but were firm otherwise.
