Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

It was a sluggish day in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Compared to recent days, demand was off considerably with even fewer sales. The eastern mills had more product available, but it did little to generate more interest or orders. Buyers were content to see how the market and prices would play out. There was a more aggressive tone to the market and on quotes given. The mills were willing to listen to offers to a certain degree on the items they wanted to move. Clients were more patient, looking for opportunities that might suit them or fill a need.
