Steady demand kept orders flowing to the mills and distributors in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Prices were mixed. They were firm to higher in most instances. They varied from mill to mill, item to item with some that were soft rebounding. There was hesitation though to paying higher. Buyers canvassed as many sources as possible before making any purchases. They seemed to have the time to do so. Mill options varied depending on the item with few if any accumulations seen anywhere. Mill shipments were generally two weeks or sooner.
