Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

The eastern spruce lumber market remained relatively unchanged yesterday. Activity was consistent yet not overwhelming. Mill production kept pace with demand with a good balance between both. Orders were written, with the mills and distributors each getting their fair share. Prices were unchanged, although there were attempts to buy cheaper or to sell at higher prices. Traders were edgy wanting more business, challenging margins. Dealers kept a manageable approach to inventories with some comfortable to buying for commitments that lie ahead. All parts waiting for that spark to ignite change.
