Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Although activity last Friday in the eastern spruce lumber market ended more quietly than many had hoped for, the overall week was better than most had anticipated. Prices did not waiver much but there were interested dealers wanting and buying product throughout the week. Many were confident in the business to come and that current prices were advantageous in preparing to do so. Mill production is stable with shipments two weeks or sooner on most items. The mills were willing to sell production that was further out but not by sacrificing price to do so. This post will be on hiatus, returning Monday February 5th.
