Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Demand was steady to start the week in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. The mills had a good supply of product to offer with favorable shipments. Prices were relatively consistent among the mills on the items they had. Buyers did their due diligence before purchasing with some waiting to see what today will bring before possibly doing so. Log supply and costs while trying to be profitable resonated in conversations with the mills. They were cautious as to selling too far into the future. They concentrated more on what they have, rather than what they might.
