Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was more of a lethargic tone to the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Despite the mood, there was demand and orders transacted. The market lacked urgency. Buyers took their time buying. Prices were flat with little movement. The mills traded a little on the items they wanted to sell but were resistant to counters on things that were of interest, especially low-grade items. They were not willing to sell lower than what was already attained, and clients were not willing to paying more than they had. The day did close on a higher note with an uptick of demand and business.
