Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was some demand, some buying, enough of each to keep activity steady in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Buyers filtered through the updated mill offering lists, gravitating to what was needed to buy or worthwhile to promote. Supply was good but not deep on any one item or another. The mills were not under undue pressure to sell. Prices were relatively unchanged although some items did sell higher than they did last week. Mill shipments were generally two weeks with distributors having the upper hand in timing and efficiencies.
