It was another stellar day for sales yesterday in the eastern spruce lumber market. Demand was strong with buyers struggling to find product. The market was active between the mills, distributors, and wholesalers. Not all retailers though were as eager participants in the market as the activity indicated. They see business ahead, but it is taking its time to materialize and give cause to buy more. They needed some convincing that this was the opportune time to do so. Price appreciation and the lack of supply helped with arguments, but some were not as easily swayed to changing their buying habits.
