Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was no letup in demand and the pace of activity in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. It was another banner day of orders for many. The lack of supply was the impetus for prices moving higher and having buyers scurry around looking for their best options to cover needs and commitments. The mills sold many of the things they put back on the market at higher prices than was previously attained. Wholesalers easily sold off their leftover positions. Distributors benefitted greatly by being able to mix a variety of items on the same order, moving prices higher while doing so.
