Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

The lack of product available from the mills in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday made it harder for traders to sell. If it was not previously owned, it was more difficult to get the order. The market was active. The mills were busy. Prices were higher. Buyers did their best to source and give the mills as many orders as possible. Distributors picked up the slack with their depth of product and timely deliveries to enable the high volume of orders placed on the day. The additional orders the mills did obtain allowed many of them to stretch order files into April.
