Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Demand, activity, and the number of orders transacted increased substantially in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday, making it busy throughout the day. The eastern mills had product to sell but their higher asking prices had buyers looking elsewhere first to cover what needs and wants they had. Many of these items were found from lower priced reload offerings or previously bought wholesale positions. This helped stall overall price increases for the moment, but some hot selling items such as stud lengths and low-grade products continued to see price appreciation.
