The eastern spruce lumber market was busy yesterday with a steady stream of demand and non-stop activity, keeping traders on their toes throughout the day. As in recent days, many of the orders transacted were fueled by reload inventories or wholesale positions, although the eastern mills did see some business also. There was more product available from them with quicker shipments than recently seen. They also seemed to be catching up with their order files faster. Their prices though remained relatively unchanged, feeling that overall supply is tight and demand will only strengthen.
