Demand eased yesterday in the eastern spruce lumber market, diminishing the number of orders transacted. The eastern mills adjusted their ambitions slightly on some items, willing to listen to what they would trade at. Clients backed away from the market with most having adequate inventory for the moment and letting the market run its course. Wholesalers worked diligently to work off leftover positions while distributors kept their focus on the items they wanted to keep selling.
