The eastern spruce lumber market was busy with demand and the number of orders transacted yesterday, yet it seemed out of sorts. Clients were distracted by lower numbers, spawned by wholesalers trying to liquidate leftover positions they had. It gave the appearance that the market was weak, and prices were vulnerable, yet the mills were able to attain orders throughout the day at current market numbers. With order files to work from they also did not have pressure to take hefty counters to sell.
