Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Activity was much quieter to finish the last week and the first quarter in the eastern spruce lumber market. Demand was lite with orders harder to come by. The mills had product to sell during the week, some items more plentiful than others, but their resolve was evident. They were not easily swayed to drop their prices to garner orders. There were some compromises, albeit minor. Their expectations are high for increased demand and business in the good building environment that lies ahead.
