Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

The mills were more active participants in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. They traded on the items they could ship next week but they were less vulnerable on things that would be available only later. Clients were receptive and joined in the activity but kept purchases regulated. They did not overextend themselves keeping inventories manageable, no different than what they have been doing. Distributors kept pace with the mills but maintained a more aggressive style of selling.
