Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

The eastern spruce lumber market was quieter yesterday. There was a cloud of uncertainty that stalled activity. Demand was steady but it was more low-keyed. Clients were not in a hurry to buy. There was time to decide before reacting. The mills lowered prices on the items they had for sale, but buyers wanted more. Distributors were more tenacious. Given the chance to take the order, they did. Although order files at the mills were thinning, they seemed to have the resolve to wait things out.
