Retail demand was vibrant in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Quick and needed fill in kept the reloads humming with activity and orders. Others that could wait were more patient. They looked for lower priced opportunities coming from the mills that have not sold very much in the last few weeks. The mills were patient as well, trying to find avenues of compromise and not relenting to the pressures from buyers of accepting much larger counters to move product.
