Lower prices continued to play havoc in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Clients were difficult to persuade. Orders were tough to get. The mills and distributors tried to stay in step with the activity, overcoming challenges at every turn. It made for a difficult day for many in the marketplace. Not all was lost though despite the frustration and negativity. Demand and activity remained strong. Product is flowing. The mills and distributors are selling. Orders are being transacted every day.
