Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Soft prices and good supply made for difficult trading and getting orders in the eastern spruce lumber market last week. Friday was no exception. Many clients with adequate inventories were able to watch as prices slid on many items. Some took advantage and threw out offers on blocks of lumber but found the mills resistant to any large counters. The mills compromised when afforded the opportunity. Low-grade products and 2x10 dimension bucked the trend and were unchanged in price.
