Consistent demand led to steady sales and activity in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. There was nothing dramatic that moved prices in either direction although there were inconsistencies seen on some wholesale quotes. Some were more aggressive than expected. The mills were not overwhelmed with sales but did have some that were buying. Clients can get product within two weeks allowing them to maintain a philosophy of managing low inventories and not having to speculate on the market.
