Demand and activity eased in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday as many prepared for a highly anticipated long holiday weekend. Traders struggled to sell the things they had or looking for the items they needed. The mills also had less to offer but found difficulty in selling the products they did have. There was business transacted but it was at a slower pace than seen recently. Activity leaned heavily on verifying shipments, revising tallies or searching for the few clients still in the market to buy.
