Although demand and activity remained vibrant in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday, the number of orders transacted eased considerably. There was substantial inquiry that kept traders busy but little that was acted upon in comparison by clients. Whether it was price, fewer product options and availability or simply a lack of confidence to do so, it was unclear as to why there was less buying than expected. Maybe it all suggests that the market was setting itself up for something much different to happen.
