Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was a let up of sales and activity in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. One could point to the high heat many have been experiencing, keeping energy levels deflated, but the bigger culprit was probably an easing of demand, which kept the number of orders transacted less than what has been seen previously this week. The mills tried to keep their sales momentum going by continuing to take the counters where they could, but their efforts were less than successful as buyer interest waned.
