The eastern spruce lumber market continued to be a challenge for many traders with yesterday being no exception. Clients limited purchases to what was needed and little else more. Even knowing there is less mill production forthcoming in the foreseeable future, they had little concern that there would not be enough product available to care for their upcoming needs. Prices continued to flounder with counters the rule and not the exception. Mill shipments are two weeks due to next week’s holidays in Canada and the U.S.
