The eastern spruce lumber market showed some life yesterday despite many Canadians being off and enjoying Canada Day. There was demand from several clients to give activity a pulse throughout the day. There was also enough supply, especially from distributors, to cover the orders generated. Trading was a grind for many as negativity continued to overshadow the marketplace. Product availability from the mills was inconsistent and limited with shipments for next week and the week after.
