Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Demand was lite to end the week on Friday in the eastern spruce lumber market. There was also not as much supply coming from the mills either. The balance between the two kept prices relatively unchanged with some minor differences. Random dimension 2x4 was still more prolific in the market, as it has been for a while, especially from the mills. The wider widths of 2x6 and 2x10 were much more difficult to source. 2x6 stud lengths were also harder to find and get coverage on. The lack of available products became quite apparent from the mills as well as from distributors as the week progressed. This post will be on hiatus, returning Monday July 29th.
