The eastern spruce lumber market continued to grind along yesterday. Demand and activity were steady. Trader frustrations remained high with the lack of supply to work with, especially coming from the mills. Prices climbed higher on many items. Clients continued to rely on the reloads to cover quick needs, with the mills intervening on what and when they could. Besides prices, little has changed in the market recently, although the threat of a rail strike next week in Canada is drawing more concern as the deadline gets closer.
