The Canadian rail strike became a reality yesterday, causing much concern and pumping up activity in the eastern spruce lumber market. Clients turned their attention to the mills that could ship by truck and what they had available. The impact that the rail strike would have, also caused much apprehension. It is a given that for every day the strike lasts, it adds several more days of delays and getting those logistics back on track. Prices continued to move higher on all items, some more than others.
