There was solid demand and activity in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. The number of orders transacted increased over the previous day. Clients paid higher on items that have been tight in supply, but they were able to get small price concessions from the mills for products that were on the ground and ready to ship. Mill deliveries are two weeks or sooner as equipment has not been an issue, but rather the lack of product has been the stumbling block to sell more for most of them.
