Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

It was another strong day of activity and for the number of orders transacted in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. It was a much quieter day for the mills though, as the lack of available supply dimmed their chances to take orders. Clients found better options and a wider breath of items for sale from distributors to cover their needs. Prices were higher on all items except for the higher grades of 2x4. Many readied themselves for the upcoming long holiday weekend, which is being celebrated in both the U.S. and Canada.
