There was steady demand and increased activity in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Emphasis shifted more to the mills as to what they had and when they could ship. There were price differences observed on items that have been tight in supply, as the mills gauged as to what their real value was in the marketplace. There was also more interest and demand on 2x4 which has seen sluggish sales. Overall, there was a better feeling observed among traders of better business ahead.
